Quick answer
A comp card, zed card or sedcard is a concise model card with selected photographs, a name, measurements and a contact. It is an introduction rather than a full portfolio. Pola lets you assemble a free PNG from your own photos.
Start with the information
Include your name, current measurements and contact for work enquiries. If an agency represents you, agree the contact and presentation with it. Leave out home addresses, identity documents and personal details unrelated to the introduction.
Label units for international submissions rather than leaving a bare number. Keep an update date in the filename so different versions are easy to distinguish.
Give every frame a purpose
Choose a lead portrait, then images with different framing and expression. A full-length photograph and another direction add more than four nearly identical close-ups. Check colour consistency and whether the photographs reflect your current appearance.
Avoid mixing people or different versions of your appearance without explanation. Label AI concepts clearly; they are not credits for an actual campaign.
Build and review the layout
Give photographs enough space and keep text readable. Review crops around the head, hands and feet. Open the export on a phone and make sure the contact is legible without heavy zooming.
Pola’s studio lets you assemble your own photographs locally and download a PNG. For professional printing, confirm dimensions, bleed and resolution with the printer separately; a digital export is not a promise of universal print readiness.

Common questions
How many photographs do I need?
Pola’s current layout uses a lead photograph and four additional images. Other briefs can require a different selection.
Does a comp card replace a portfolio?
It offers a quick introduction. Show full series and real work in a separate book.
