Choose a recognisable portrait, a full-length image and photographs that add useful range. Five similar portraits reveal less than five images with different jobs. The Pola editor requires exactly five photographs.
Choose the recipient before the photographs
An agency introduction and a specific casting may need different selections. Check what the recipient requests first. A designed comp card does not replace separate unedited digitals when the application requires them.
Open with a portrait that makes you easy to recognise: a sharp face, readable expression and current hair and appearance. Check that it represents the person who will attend the meeting. A striking image with a hidden face may serve a different purpose.
Give the other four images different jobs
One image can show full length and proportions, another a profile or different facial view. Choose the rest for useful range: movement, calm presentation or styling relevant to the recipient. This is a selection method, not a mandatory layout for every agency.
Compare similar photographs side by side and choose one. Ask whether an image adds information or repeats the expression, pose and clothes already shown. Avoid mixing periods of markedly different appearance without explanation. Keep real work separate from labelled AI concepts.
Check the crop in the finished card
Pola lets you reorder photographs and choose one of six ready-made layouts. The classic layout gives the first image a larger field; the strip places images side by side. Export fills each field with a centred crop, so check faces, hands and full-length images in your chosen version.
If important information is cut off, prepare a suitable source image or choose another layout. Open the downloaded PNG on a phone before sending: check the name, measurements, contact and recognisable face. Keep originals separately; the editor does not retain them after reloading.

Do I have to use five photographs?
The current Pola editor requires five. A recipient may have other requirements; the card does not replace their submission form.
Can all photographs come from one shoot?
Yes, when they show the needed views and range. The number of different shoots does not determine selection quality.
